详细说明: Lot 780 1881-O. PCGS graded MS-65 Deep Mirror Prooflike. This is amazing quality for this date and mint, which would stand tall if it were just a normal issue Morgan, but this coin offers the incredible Deep Mirror Prooflike quality. Seldom seen on most dates, and always desired for these coins appear with contrast that rivals the true proofs struck in Philadelphia. The fields must he highly mirrored and show deep measured reflectivity, and the surrounding devices must be frosted and bright. Only the most contrasting examples qualify for this designation. Furthermore, most fall well short in quality, as the delicate fields show and magnify every tiny nick or bagmark, and hence most DMPL coins fall into much lower grades. When found at the Gem level, then the eye appeal is simply stunning. Well struck and very choice, and tied with a select group as one of the finest 1881-O Morgans with the DMPL designation.
