The 35th Anniversary of the Issuance of Chinese Panda Gold Coin Gold and Silver Commemorative Coins Special Label Application Guide

The People's Bank of China released The 35th Anniversary of the Issuance of the Chinese Panda Gold Coin Gold and Silver Commemorative Coins on June 15, 2017. The commemorative coins comprise of three coins, including one gold-and-silver commemorative coin, one gold commemorative coin and one silver commemorative coin, all legal tender of the People's Republic of China.

PCGS provides the First Day of Issue designation and the FIRSTSTRIKE® designation for the set of gold and silver commemorative coins. In addition to the First Day of Issue designation or the FIRSTSTRIKE® designation, you may also select to add a special label, which is specially designed by PCGS.

Submission rules are as follows:

Applicable coin(s): Applicable to The 35th Anniversary of the Issuance of the Chinese Panda Gold Coin Gold and Silver Commemorative Coins.

Price:

  • Panda Coin special label: US$5.00/piece (free of charge if a total of 25 pieces or above are submitted)
  • First Day of Issue designation: US$8.00/piece
  • FIRSTSTRIKE®: US$5.00/piece
  • A minimum of five coins for each submission form. For batch submission, please contact our Shanghai Office.

Fill out the application: You may choose the special label or FIRSTSTRIKE® designation or First Day of Issue designation individually, or choose the special label plus FIRSTSTRIKE® designation or First Day of Issue designation. Your application must be indicated in the submission form, including which label, such as a note of "panda coin special label + First Day of Issue designation".

Application deadline: Application for First Day of Issue designation must be submitted to PCGS Hong Kong Submission Center before 10 am of the first workday upon coin issue; and application for FIRSTSTRIKE® designation must be submitted within 30 days upon coin issue. In case of mail submission, relevant reliable certificate for the mailing time is required. According to the issue time of The 35th Anniversary of the Issuance of the Chinese Panda Gold Coin Gold and Silver Commemorative Coins, deadline to apply for First Day of Issue designation is 10 am, June 16; and for FIRSTSTRIKE® designation, July 14 is the last day for submission.

All items listed in the 2017 metal commemorative coins issue plan of the People's Bank of China can be submitted to PCGS within the prescribed time for FIRSTSTRIKE® designation or First Day of Issue designation, mainly including: 2017 Auspicious Culture Gold and Silver Commemorative Coins, The 35th Anniversary of the Issuance of the Chinese Panda Gold Coin Gold and Silver Commemorative Coins, The 90th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Liberation Army of China Gold and Silver Commemorative Coins, Chinese Opera (Huangmei Opera) Gold and Silver Commemorative Coins, Beijing International Coin Exposition 2017 Silver Commemorative Coins, 2018 The Dog Gold And Silver Commemorative Coins.
